Monthly Community Sunday Brunch and COVID

Sun 12-Sep-2021 by Steve Baber

As a Parish Hall Committee, we are pleased and excited to restart the popular Monthly Community Sunday Brunch on 12th September. While national COVID legal restrictions have been lifted we are very aware we are still living in a worldwide environment with COVID very much an issue.

The safety and enjoyment of people is of paramount importance to us and we hope this information provides confidence about attending. Our ambition is that we achieve a safe, relaxed and enjoyable experience.

It is with that in mind we provide the following information for those planning to or considering attending the Brunch.

  • As outlined in national guidance people are asked “to make informed decisions and act carefully and proportionally to manage risk to themselves and others”.
  • Before the event the Hall will be thoroughly cleaned/disinfected.
  • After setting up the tables and chairs they will be cleaned/disinfected.
  • To provide more space for social distancing the maximum attendees at any one time will be reduced from 60 to 45 people.
  • Ventilation is important and doors and windows will be open during the Brunch.
  • If you feel unwell with COVID symptoms before attending please do not attend.
  • If you feel unwell during the Brunch please tell a volunteer server.
  • We support NHS Test and Trace and attendees are requested to support this approach. A QR is on display for use with the Test and Trace app. And paper and pen approach will be available.
  • Sanitizer will be provided in the entrance and in the hall and attendees are asked to use it.
  • Facemasks are not compulsory, but attendees are asked to wear them on entrance and exiting and if moving round e.g. visiting the toilet
  • Once seated attendees are requested not to move round. As with previous Brunches orders will be taken at your table and delivered to your table by volunteer servers. If you need anything please ask a volunteer server. Payment should be made at your table.
  • When tables are vacated during the Brunch the tables and chairs will be cleaned/disinfected.

And finally, to confirm that while we are taking these actions to achieve a safe environment our intention and ambition is for a relaxed and enjoyable Brunch.
