Following the conveyancing of the barn from Church ownership to the Parish Council as a Parish Hall it appears from our records that the rector of East Worlington, the Reverend Hodgson, retained a community focus.
In April 1923 he hired the Hall for a dance at a hire charge of 10 shillings (50p) and on 2nd January 1924 he hired the Hall for the Choir’s Supper for a hire charge also of 10 shillings.
