Crocus and Cream Teas 2025

Crocus and Cream Teas 2025

Sun 23-Mar-2025 by Martin Bond

The annual crocus and cream tea event for Sunday 23rd February 2-25 has been cancelled due to the strong winds predicted for that day. The event on Sunday 2nd of March 1.30- 5pm is expected to go ahead as planned. For more information email or phone Amanda – (amanda_mastroddi@yahoo.co.uk  07793 216165 ).

The annual Crocus and Cream Teas event this year is held on two Sundays.

  • Sunday 23rd February 1.30pm to 5.00pm CANCELLED
  • Sunday 2nd March 1.30pm to 5.00pm

This event supports the National Garden Scheme and its chosen charities.

East Worlington House is the location where thousands of purple crocuses feature in the 2-acre garden, set in a lovely position with views down the valley to Little Dart River. These spectacular crocuses have spread over many years through the garden and into the neighbouring churchyard. Walks from the garden across the river and into the woods. Dogs on leads please.

The delicious Cream Teas are available in East Worlington Parish Hall, a grade 2 listed converted Tythe Barn, adjacent to East Worlington House.

Crocus and Cream Teas Volunteers Request

Once again, the wonderful Crocus and Cream Tea event at the Parish Hall to support the Open Gardens at East Worlington House will soon be upon us.  The dates for your diary this year are 23rd Feb and 2nd March from 1.30 to 5.00pm.

Helen and I are once again taking on the task of organising the Cream Teas but, of course, are in need of your help. We are calling on all the fabulous Worlington bakers for cakes on these days. So if you are able to bake a cake, volunteer to help on either of the days and/or provide jams etc we would be delighted to hear from you. Please let us know if your happy to do a full session or just a couple of hours, we are grateful for all help, in the kitchen, serving or clearing.

Please email us to the following email or phone:-

Amanda and Helen amanda_mastroddi@yahoo.co.uk or 07793216165

Also, we are looking for volunteers to help with the parking on the above days.

So if you are able to spare some time email amanda_mastroddi@yahoo.co.uk to let us know.

Thank you and look forward to hearing from you

Amanda and Helen
