Worlington Events

Worlington Events

We are an active rural community holding many events in or close by the East Worlington Parish Hall.

Immediatley below are some of the community driven events and below that are exhibitions produced by the local history group.

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

View our celebration activities: church decorations, the Jubilee beacon, village walk, EW Church Labyrinth, tree plantings and best decorated wheelbarrow competition. Not to mention the Jubilee party.

Open Gardens

Over the years some members of the Worlington community have opened their gardens to the public for viewing and a contribution to charity. Here we show catalogues from some of those years.

School Inheritance Recipes Book

As part of the Heritage Project pupils of East Worlington School collected favourite family recipes in a booklet. The children inherited these recipes from older members of their families.

The Amazing Worlington Quilt

A tapestry produced by local school children depicting the Worlington area utilising fabric to represent buildings, fields, rivers, footpaths, stone patterns, crop patterns, marshy areas and tree patterns.

Events Photo Archive.
