The POW site in Tiverton occupied the site where Petroc is now. It appears that it was first used for Italian PoWs, and then German PoWs later on.

There was another camp near Cruwys Morchard which housed Italian prisoners of war. The camp near Cruwys Orchard at Pages Cross would have been similar.
