This event is aimed at our community with the aim of celebrating the Parish Hall achievement of Hallmark 1, 2, and 3. This event was postponed due to Coronavirus and will be rescheduled.
At the May meeting of East Worlington Parish Hall Committee, the committee discussed and planned the reopening of the Hall following its closure due to COVID-19. The committee considered government guidance and legislation and aim to ensure compliance. A programme of activities from September to December was agreed. This programme is outlined on the following document. We are all looking forward to the reopening of the Hall and supporting the activities and events held there.
You are warmly invited to a complete reading of Mark’s Gospel, at West Worlington Church on Saturday 25 September, starting at 2:00 pm. After 18 months or so in which life has been fragmented by the necessary restrictions associated with Covid-19, here is a chance to hear the full story of good news read by members of the congregation. The reading will take around two hours. There will also be a short interval, as well as refreshments at the end.
You are warmly invited to a celebration of fields and gardens -- in prayer, music and poetry, not to mention tea and cakes.
The Worlington Craft Group is starting on Monday 20th September 2021 between 2.00pm and 4.00pm in East Worlington Parish Hall. We are a friendly, happy group. While we do craft work you do not need to be doing craft work. You could just bring along mending or knitting if you prefer. Have a cup of tea and biscuits, meet new people, and have a chat.
As a Parish Hall Committee, we are pleased and excited to restart the popular Monthly Community Sunday Brunch on 12th September. While national COVID legal restrictions have been lifted we are very aware we are still living in a worldwide environment with COVID very much an issue. The safety and enjoyment of people is of paramount importance to us and we hope this information provides confidence about attending. Our ambition is that we achieve a safe, relaxed and enjoyable experience. It is with that in mind we provide the following information for those planning to or considering attending the Brunch.
This year due to the pandemic and the need to maintain social distancing we have reluctantly decided to cancel our usual Harvest Supper.
