Parish Hall Heritage Projects

Starting in 2015 the Parish Hall Managment Committee instigated a long term plan to conserve and improve the parish. The main works inluded a new wooden floor, underfloor heating, upgraded kitchen facilities and a replcament foyer with toilets and a storage area.

Heritage Project Launch

The start of the lottery funded heritage project activities to Conserve and Improve the Parish Hall.

Conservation and Improvement Summary

Between 2015 and 2019 the Parish Hall underwent significant improvement and conservation work secured by funding from many different sources including the National Lottery.

Conserve and Improve Projects

Conservation and Improvement 2015-17

Major works involving replacing the floor, installing underfloor heating and re-thatching.

Conservation and Improvement 2017-19

The Second Phase conservation and improvement plan focused on the the stage and kitchen area.

Window Refurbishment 2018

The old rotting windows were removed and refurbished to keep as much of the original hall frabric as possible. The external render was also replaced at the same time.

Hall Foyer Replacement 2020

A new foyer with two unisex toilets and a storeroom was installed replacing the old foyer.

Hertiage Project Group Portfolio

The Heritage Project Group instigated a number of heritage themed projects with local community involvement and produced a small number of printed fact sheets or booklets about the local area and buildings.

Heritage Project Activities

The Heritage Porject group and other volunteeers undertook a number of projects to illustate the importance of the Parish Hall within the community. 

Conservation and Improvment Document Archive

The documentation such as project plans, building regulation approvals, drawings and so on have been stored as part of theParish Hall Heritage archives.
